What’s up guys! I’m Hannah – a third year Uni student who decided to pick up life in the USA and spend 6 months on exchange in Melbourne, Australia. Check out me living it up in my new home below!

Throughout my life, I have been blessed with the opportunity to embark on beautiful travel through many countries on all ends of the world. Originally, I travelled to be with family – now, I travel to be with myself. I constantly push myself to maximize every moment spent in a new place and look for opportunities to live it up while still staying within a “Uni student budget.”
With tuition and rent becoming a reality in my life, I still prioritize travel but have suddenly found myself on a budget.
If traveling the world is your passion, you have a lot of expenses to take into consideration. Forget the $1,000 ticket from one side of the world to the other – the food, living, and excursion expenses can really add up, especially when you are hoping to live the “good life” in each of the new cultures you are exploring. For example, “snowboarding” down the sand dunes of Dubai is a must when visiting the City of Gold – but this isn’t free! But hey, at least you look cool doing it!

There is a saying about not needing money to be happy, which is absolutely true, HOWEVER, news flash – if you are a student earning below the poverty line who wants to travel, money makes life a whole lot simpler!! If you, too, find yourself wondering, “how can I dine at Instagram-worthy restaurants, jump out of planes over beautiful mountains, or learn the cultural arts and history of new countries if I’m cashless?” I am here to help.
Uni student or not – whatever your reasons may be for hoping to budget while living up your extravagant dreams, you have come to the right spot!
“Abroad is the place where we stay up late, follow impulse and find ourselves as wide open as when we are in love.” – Pico Iyer

Bali is an iconic destination – somewhere that most college students would jump at the chance to visit. For this reason, it has enticed me to blog about. I look at it as a chance to follow my own impulses as open-minded as Iyer stated in order to travel glamorously while still being conscientious of my spendings. At this point in life, staying up late and remaining wide open to every opportunity is necessary (but can be costly)! I write this blog with every intention to show you how to THRIVE in your travels while sticking to your finances – come along for the ride!
